Seahawks´ Baldwin could miss a ´couple of weeks´, says Carroll

Seattle Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll said receiver Doug Baldwin could miss the team's next few games due to a knee injury.

Baldwin, 29, is struggling with what Carroll described as a medical collateral ligament issue following Seattle's 27-24 NFL loss to the Denver Broncos last week.

Discussing Baldwin's injury on Tuesday, Carroll told reporters: "He's really going to go a few days at a time here.

"Let's see what happens. We'll wait and see. We don't know yet ... It could be a couple weeks, and we'll find out. He's as tough as you get. We'll need to wait."

Baldwin – a Super Bowl champion and two-time Pro Bowler – was targeted once before he left the game against the Broncos.

He missed a month of training camp with an injury to his opposite knee.

Baldwin caught 75 passes for 991 yards and eight touchdowns in 16 games last season.

The Seahawks will face the Chicago Bears in week two on Monday.
