Packers WR Cobb says injured hamstring is ´feeling better´

October 2 2018 1:47 AM

Green Bay Packers wide receiver Randall Cobb knows he needs to take it slow.

After sustaining a hamstring injury that placed him on the injury report, the eight-year veteran sat out Green Bay's 22-0 rout of the Buffalo Bills on Sunday.

"As much as I would've wanted to, I couldn't be out there running at full speed," Cobb said on Monday, via ESPN. "So it's no reason to take that risk."

Cobb said he is already feeling better and remains hopeful that he will return for Green Bay's week five matchup against Detroit.

"It's feeling better," he added. "I made strides the past couple days and hopefully I can continue to make those strides."

The Packers relied on Davante Adams, who played all 76 offensive snaps on Sunday, as well as Geronimo Allison, Marquez Valdes-Scantling and J'Mon Moore.

Cobb has tallied 17 catches for 194 yards and a touchdown through three games.
