Packers have ´no updates´ on Rodgers extension

July 31 2018 8:14 PM

Green Bay Packers general manager Brian Gutekunst said no timelines will be put on agreeing a new contract for Aaron Rodgers.

Gutekunst told reporters on Tuesday that there were "no updates" to offer on a potential extension for the quarterback.

Rodgers has two years left on his five-year, $110 million deal, which ranks him as the 10th-highest-paid quarterback in the NFL.

He is set to make $19.8million this year and $20million in 2019.

Gutekunst kept the conversation short about Rodgers, simply stating that Packers executive Russ Ball and Rodgers’ agent, David Dunn, are working on terms.

“I wouldn’t put any timelines on it,” Gutekunst said. “As long as everybody’s working toward the same goal, we feel positive about it."
