Panthers tight end Olsen suffers foot injury

September 9 2018 11:50 PM

Tight end Greg Olsen left the Carolina Panthers' game against the Dallas Cowboys early in the second quarter with a foot injury and will not return.

Olsen had been a late addition to the team's injury report on Saturday with back tightness, but was activated for the game, as expected.

But early in the second quarter, he injured his foot running a pass pattern and immediately limped to the locker room.

Olsen had two catches for 33 yards before leaving.

The Pro Bowl tight end missed nine games last season after having surgery to insert a screw in his broken right foot. It is unclear which foot Olsen injured on Sunday.
